Connect Two

Description
You will be reconfiguring and expanding upon a wearable object for this assignment. Start by selecting a found article of clothing. Choice of objects could include, but are not limited to: shirts, pants, coats, dresses, aprons, etc. For the project create an object/installation using clothing to connect you to architecture. The project should accommodate your body and/or possibly someone you know or an architectural space readily accessible.

Considerations
Choose found objects based on color, form, and function. As your idea develops, you may need to seek out additional pieces for your project. It is possible to design the project to use only the material from the found object, or to add additional material(s). Consider the formal balance between the piece and the space or person you are connecting. How do the colors and the shapes relate? How does the architectural space you work with influence the meaning of the work?

Process
sewing (machine and hand), crochet/ knitting (optional)

Materials and Supplies
Found object clothing
additional fabric matching or related to the original fabric misc fasteners or connectors (rivets, zip ties, etc)

Critique
It is expected that you document your work through a series of high quality photographs (or video) showing how it relates to the space or person. We will be looking at the documentation and the final piece. We have a limited amount of critique time-please be ready with your documentation and piece installed (if appropriate).
